  • District Conference
    November 13-14, 2010
    Meetings were held at the lodge in the state park outside Keosauqua, Iowa to conduct bi-annual business of the Heartland District.  Food was provided by the Ottumwa Branch in great bounty; preaching was shared by Mount Pleasant branch's pastor Dan Brown and elder Alan Smith from Mount Ayr Branch; fellowship and worship was enjoyed by all.
  • Geneseo Reunion
    July 17-24, 2010
    Over one-hundred saints gathered from several states--including Iowa, Illinois, Maine, Kansas, Wisconsin, and Missouri--to share in fellowship and worship of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Ministry was provided by several servants from various branches, and the Spirit was present in great abundance. Several individuals received personnal healing ministry through the ordinance of administration; and three new members were joyfully welcomed into the fold through the ordinance of baptism.
  • Junior Camp
    July 7-10, 2010
    Camp theme was "African Children Ministry" and the campers heard from missionaries Seventies Ron Smith and Randy Vick, who both have ministered extensively in eastern and western Africa. Campers learned more about the African children lifestyle and modes of worship. The campers wrote letters to the children at Future Hope Restoration Orphange in Liberia to share directly with these far-away brothers and sisters.
  • Jr. / Sr. High Youth Camp
    June 20-26, 2010
    Camp theme was "Servants of Honor" and campers not only learned biblical principles, but also applied them by offering daily service in community flood clean-up and other community service activities. There were thirty-three in attendance, and the Lord abundanctly blessed this group in answering prayers for protection when a tornado passed through; yet no damage was sustained on the camp grounds, even though surrounding areas received sizeable damage.
  • Memorial Weekend Retreat
    May 28-31, 2010
    Saints from Ottumwa, Mount Ayr, Nauvoo, Ohio, and Wisconsin gathered to enjoy worship and fellowship. There were around fifty in attendance, with more on Sunday morning. The Lord blessed the gathering.
  • New Branch in District Formed
    May 15, 2010
    An organizational meeting was held at Mount Pleasant, Iowa to form a Restoration Branch.  The vote was unanimous; inital by-laws were accepted; and Priest Dan Brown was elected as the first pastor of this branch.  Assiting in this meeting were Seventy Mark Dietrick and Dave Drummond.  Keep these new Saints in your prayers as they continue in the work of building up the Church in their area of the Lord's vineyard.
