High Priest Jerry Vickery was elected as the new District President at the Fall Heartland District conference. He is the second President following in the shoes of Elder Mark Deitrick, who did much to lead in the establishing of the District and unifying of the Saints in this area of the Lord's vineyard.
- New Year's Youth Retreat a Big Success

The District youth enjoyed a special time of fellowship and learning at a Retreat held at the new Keosauqua Branch building. Youth Leader, Melissa McKane, along with Priest Levi Vickery lead the youth in a time focused on "Becoming Zion." Sixteen youth attended; fun and fellowship with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as well as each other was enjoyed by all.

The Saints at Keosauqua officially opened their new building. They have received many blessings in this endeavor--many donations, many hours of shared labor, and many new friends in the process. Patriarch Vernon Darling, visiting minister from Colbern Road Branch, offered the dedication message. Many others shared in this joyous day. The Keosauqua Saints now look forward to continued growth as they diligently pursue growing the branch in their area of the Lord's vineyard.
- New Branch in District Formed in Mount
May 15, 2010
An organizational meeting was held at Mount Pleasant, Iowa to form a Restoration Branch. The vote was unanimous; initial by-laws were accepted; and Priest Dan Brown was elected as the first pastor of this branch. Assisting in this meeting were Seventy Mark Dietrick and Dave Drummond. Keep these new Saints in your prayers as they continue in the work of building up the Church in their area of the Lord's vineyard.
